Daripada Ma'qal bin Yassar r.a. berkata bahawa Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda:
"Hati Al-Quran ialah Surah Yasin;tidaklah dibaca oleh seseorang surah tersebut
yang semata-mata mengharapkan keredhaan Allah s.a.w dan hari akhirat melainkan
diampunkan oleh Allah s.a.w. dosanya; dan bacalah Surah Yasin kepada orang
yang hampir akan meninggal dunia dan setelah seseorang itu meninggal dunia."
